What you'll need.
Gather a drill, a 3/16″ drill bit, a 1/4″ drill bit, a Phillips-head screwdriver, pencil, and a pair of safety glasses.
A nine-step guide to mounting your Redefine pull with the care and precision the piece deserves.
Every Redefine pull is finished by hand — and the installation should be no less considered. Work slowly, protect your surfaces, and the result will read as intentional for decades.
Gather a drill, a 3/16″ drill bit, a 1/4″ drill bit, a Phillips-head screwdriver, pencil, and a pair of safety glasses.
Place the parts on a smooth. Whats included: the backplate, the handle, the tiny M4 flat-head screws, the longer M4 mounting screws, and the brass decorative screws.
Using the backplate as a template, mark the two outer holes on the cabinet face with a pencil. For appliance applications, mark all four holes (see step 9).
Put on your safety glasses. Using the 1/4″ drill bit, carefully drill through each marked hole.
On a soft surface and with the countersunk side of the backplate facing up, secure the backplate and handle together with the tiny M4 flat-head screws, tightening firmly with the Phillips screwdriver. Each screw head should sit fully flush inside the countersunk side of the backplate.
With the handle attached to the backplate, hold the assembly against the cabinet and align the top holes with those you drilled. Insert the brass decorative screws through the front, then tighten the M4 mounting screws onto them from inside the cabinet.
If the mounting screw is too long to draw the hardware tight against the cabinet, slide one or two metal washers onto the screw to shorten its reach.
Give the mounting screws a final turn until the pull draws fully flush. Step back and admire the finished work.
For appliance panels, large cabinets, and heavy drawers, use all four holes on the backplate to distribute the load across the full length of the pull.
For this configuration the tiny M4 flat-head screws are not used — instead, fasten the backplate to the cabinet with four M4 mounting screws, one in each hole.
Built from solid, unplated brass — and finished by hand. The only installation you will ever need to do.
